More News on Jake

We are so blessed to have met so many nice and wonderful people from CHI (Children's Hope International). A couple of families that have recently traveled have taken the time to go meet Jake, give him a hug for us and take some pictures. It is nice to get some feedback on his personality. The last couple of families have all told us that he is the assistant directors favorite and he is always with her....either in her arms and by her side. We prayed for this before we even met him with the hopes our child would bond with someone while he waited on his forever family and feel loved. I have to admit that lately I am a little worried about the moment we take him from her. They are really close to each other and I know it is going to be very difficult for both of them...including us. One family that is already back from Vietnam met him and said he was very busy! I met someone through our agency recently and she is currently over there right now getting her son. She said he was a little quiet around her. She was so kind to even measure his foot for us to give us an idea on shoe size. Once I receive some of her photos I will post them for everyone to see. Well, I will post more information as I hear it.

Finally Bloggers

I can't believe it! We have finally set up our first blog. We have had several people asking about our blog so that they could follow us on our adoption journey. Our story began almost two years ago when we were sitting in church and heard a missionary speaking about his life spent in Asia ministering to the elderly and the orphans. His story and pictures were powerful and life changing for both Rick and I. We prayed about it for a long time and we knew that God had touched our hearts in a way that would change us forever. It was at that time that we found our hearts in Vietnam.

After 18 months of paperwork and waiting and waiting we received a referral for our son, Jake. At the time he was 13 months old and is now almost 17 months old. Our three biological children can not wait for him to get here. We feel like he has always been a part of our family even if we have only met him through pictures and a video. It is getting harder each day to see him growing up through pictures and we pray that our trip to Vietnam will be soon. I will try to keep the blog updated often. Right now we are just "waiting and waiting and waiting". This has been the most difficult part thus far. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures and other data I will get it on the blog site.
