Finally Bloggers

I can't believe it! We have finally set up our first blog. We have had several people asking about our blog so that they could follow us on our adoption journey. Our story began almost two years ago when we were sitting in church and heard a missionary speaking about his life spent in Asia ministering to the elderly and the orphans. His story and pictures were powerful and life changing for both Rick and I. We prayed about it for a long time and we knew that God had touched our hearts in a way that would change us forever. It was at that time that we found our hearts in Vietnam.

After 18 months of paperwork and waiting and waiting we received a referral for our son, Jake. At the time he was 13 months old and is now almost 17 months old. Our three biological children can not wait for him to get here. We feel like he has always been a part of our family even if we have only met him through pictures and a video. It is getting harder each day to see him growing up through pictures and we pray that our trip to Vietnam will be soon. I will try to keep the blog updated often. Right now we are just "waiting and waiting and waiting". This has been the most difficult part thus far. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures and other data I will get it on the blog site. Dear Rick, Natalie, Nadia, Mia & Luke,

We are so excited to be able to keep up on all the latest "news" about Jake! He is so adorable! We know you are experiencing so many different emotions right now....joy, excitement, anxiousness and frustration. We know you are ready for God to bring him home SOON! We can't wait to see his sweet, little face in person!

HURRY HOME, JAKE!

Love, Marty, Theresa, Travis & Adrienne Cain

Dear Rick, Natalie, Nadia, Mia and Luke,

We couldn't be happier for you. I'm sure it must be very hard to wait but hopefully it won't be long now and you will finally be united.

God bless you all,

Dear Nelson "6",
We are so excited for you and the anticipated arrival of Jake. God has favored him to be coming to a Christian home where he will be taught of the Lord, loved and grow up to make a difference in this world. The children will be wonderful brothers and sisters to him. We are praying everything will go smooth for the transition.
Love, Jim, Deborah, Allison and Hunter
